For the first time in medicine, an anti-tumor biomembrane made of nanofibers, biocompatible and bioabsorbable has been implanted in a patient’s body and has proved to be safe. This medical and technological milestone is the result of a public-private collaboration between the biotechnology company Cebiotex, Hospital Sant Joan de Déu, INTEXTER from UPC (member of the cluster) and Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau in Barcelona.
