AEI Tèxtils gets ready in Slovenia to keep supporting the resilience development for the textile industry with xBUILD-EU

12/09/2023

AEI TÈXTILS was from 5th to 6th September in Slovenia to review the progress and next steps for the xBUILD-EU, Eurocluster project meeting. xBUILD-EU – Cross-fertilization of industrial ecosystems in textile manufacturing and construction leveraging digital and advanced technologies to build up green and digital resilience in Europe – is one of the 30 flagship Euroclusters funded by the European Commission and coordinated by AEI Tèxtils.

In April, xBUILD-EU launched its first call for proposals aimed at supporting SMEs in three key areas: innovation, acceleration of the green and digital transitions, and to support internationalization. After the evaluation and selection of best projects, a total of 18, including 8 with members of the cluster, have officially started and being granted with a total of 510.000€.

During the xBUILD-EU meeting, the team has reviewed the results and is defining the monitoring procedures to maximize the impact and communicate broadly the results of the awarded projects. For that, the partnership will engage a strong communication action in the coming months featuring each project.

Besides xBUILD-EU, AEI Tèxtils is also partner in EuroBoosTEX project which has also opened its second call for proposals with a total budget of 720k€ to support 12 projects in consortium towards green and digital innovations. SMEs in the textile sector can apply until November 8th through euroclusters.grantplatform.com

Lastly, AEI Tèxtils is also working on the development of a more resilient textile ecosystem through the publication of dedicated reports developed for xBUILD-EU and EuroBoosTex projects.

Euroclusters acts as an ecosystem hub and as a collaborative environment to facilitate cluster collaboration, boosting opportunities for members of the cluster to bloom collaborations between enterprises, research institutes, policy makers and other institutions that promote innovation and provide SMEs access to new knowledge competencies, resources and markets.
